SUMMARY:2026 Senior Speech Day
DESCRIPTION:Our Senior Speech Day recognises and celebrates the outstanding academic achievements of the class of 2026. \nThis year’s guest of honour is Mrs Bronwyn Williams (nee Barnes)\, current Vice Chairperson of  the PMB GHS Old Girls’ Association. An accomplished GHS alumna\, attorney\, entrepreneur\, speaker\, mentor and advocate for women and youth\, Bronwyn’s career reflects both professional excellence and a strong commitment to empowering others.  Her influence extends beyond the corporate environment through her work as a speaker\, mentor and facilitator\, creating opportunities for meaningful conversations around leadership\, personal development\, women’s empowerment and social impact.  As Vice-Chairperson of the GHS Old Girls’ Association\, she continues to give back to the school and contribute to the development of its alumnae community. Her journey represents the very best of a GHS education: ambition coupled with service\, professional achievement coupled with purpose\, and leadership that creates opportunities for others. \n  \nDate: Friday 9 October 2026\nTime: 10:30am\nVenue: Sylvia Vietzen Community Centre

SUMMARY:Sisterhood in Service - 2027 Learner Leadership Induction Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:Proudly renamed\, our “Sisterhood in Service” ceremony is the announcement of the 2027 Learner Leadership team at PMB GHS. \nThe purpose of our ‘SISTERHOOD IN SERVICE’ ceremony is to give appropriate significance\, dignity and energy to the appointment of the learner leaders who will serve Pietermaritzburg Girls’ High School during their Grade 12 year. It recognises leadership not primarily as status or privilege\, but as service and stewardship: each generation of GHS leaders receives a school shaped by those who came before\, holds its reputation\, traditions\, values and spirit in its keeping for a time\, and ultimately passes that inheritance to those who follow. \nDate: Thursday 8 October 2026\nTime: 12:30pm\nVenue: Sylvia Vietzen Community Centre
